Virtual Rider

If you would like to participate to the success of the Ride to fight ALS, but can’t join us on-site, you can still join as a “Virtual Rider”. Registration is completely free, you don’t even need to own a bike, and the funds you raise go towards the event.This type of registration is the most flexible: you set your own fundraising goal – there is no small amount! You can even create your virtual team, or a team up with cyclists who will gear up in August.

Role of Team Leader

A team captain is the lead organizer and motivator for its team. Team captains are responsible for:

    • recruiting people to join their team;
    • setting a team fundraising goal;
    • communicating with their members to follow up on their fundraising activity, and
    • encouraging and thanking them prior to, during and after the ride.

Team Captains are the ALS Society’s primary contact and liaison to the ride team. Each team must have a team captain.

Cancellation policy

Any registration cancellation must be submitted in writing. In case of cancellation from the participant, the following fees will be charged:

  • Cancellation 10 weeks before the event: 25 % of registration fees;
  • Cancellation between 10 and 2 weeks before the event: 50 % of registration fees;
  • Cancellation less than 2 weeks before the event: 100 % of registration fees.

A participant can be replaced free of charge until the date of the event. For safety reasons, please inform us.

For any cancellation or replacement contact the Fund Development Coordinator as soon as possible.
